Heritage

Since its founding as Ing. Loro Piana & C. by Pietro Loro Piana in Quarona (Piedmont, Italy) in 1924, the Maison has been on an ever-evolving quest for excellence.

From the 1950s, the House has committed itself to transforming fine and rare natural fibres, such as cashmere and rare wool, into exclusive fabrics and started crafting its first finished products between the 1980s and the early 1990s.

Loro Piana draws on time-honoured traditions and innovative, state-of-the-art technologies to create quality products with a unique touch – combining its distinctive heritage with Italian  artistry.

Today, with a continued commitment to passing on its invaluable know-how to future generations, the Maison perpetuates a legacy of craftsmanship nurtured by six generations of the Loro Piana family. The result are collections that embody understated elegance, transcending time and luxury.

The Maison has been part of the LVMH Group since 2013.
